How to manage AirDrop settings on iPhone and Apple Watch

Here are general steps on how to manage AirDrop settings on iPhone and Apple Watch:

 iPhone

1. Unlock your iPhone:

Ensure your iPhone is unlocked and active.

2.Swipe down or swipe up from the home screen:

Depending on your iPhone model, swipe down from the top-right corner (iPhone X and newer) or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (iPhone 8 and older) to open the Control Center.

3. Enable/Disable AirDrop:

Look for the AirDrop icon in the Control Center. Tap and hold or force touch (on models that support it) the network settings box in the top-left corner. This should reveal AirDrop options. You can choose between "Receiving Off," "Contacts Only," or "Everyone." Select "Receiving Off" to turn off AirDrop.

Apple Watch

1. Access Control Center:

Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to access the Control Center.

2. Tap on AirDrop:

Find the AirDrop icon, usually represented by a set of concentric circles. Tap on it to open AirDrop settings.

3. Choose AirDrop Settings:

Similar to the iPhone, you may see options like "Contacts Only" and "Everyone." Select the option that suits your preference. If you want to turn off AirDrop completely, if available, choose the option to disable it.

Please note that the terminology and steps might slightly vary depending on the iOS version you are using. If there's a specific feature or setting called "NameDrop" introduced after my last update, I recommend checking the latest Apple support documentation or the Settings app on your device for the most accurate information.
